About The Opportunity

Netrix Global is seeking an IT Senior Security Engineer who will act as a subject matter expert and technical leader concerning complex information security technologies, topics, and issues. The position is responsible for technical and specialized duties in the areas of information security tools and frameworks, security architectures and best practices, incident management, vulnerability management, and security tool implementations - with the goal of improving the overall security posture of the organization.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Provide subject matter expertise in defining, evaluating, and recommending security tools and solutions to ensure the protection of the organization’s information assets
  • Test, install, document, and maintain a variety of security tools and technologies
  • Partner with the other technology teams to review existing security architectures, identify gaps, and recommend security enhancements
  • Identify threats and develop remediation plans to reduce security risks to the company
  • Perform internal and coordinate external vulnerability and penetration testing activities, interpret results, categorize risk, and coordinate the remediation of findings
  • Lead security incident management and response efforts
  • Assist with periodic information security risk assessments
  • Work with the IT Compliance Manager and external auditors to provide supporting evidence for security controls
  • Participate in third-party vendor security evaluations to ensure that their technology environment appropriately protects company data
  • Monitor changes in the current threat landscape and review trends in order to proactively plan and design the security environment to protect against current and future threats

What You Will Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on technical information security experience
  • CISSP certification preferred
  • Expert level knowledge of security principles, frameworks, technologies, and tools
  • Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining security technologies and tools across a broad range of systems and platforms, including Windows, MacOS, Linux, Microsoft 365 E5, Azure, and AWS; experience with VMware, Cloudflare, Tenable, Cisco, and Palo Alto security solutions a plus
  • Strong skills and ability to identify and analyze security vulnerabilities
  • Experience with vulnerability and penetration testing, interpreting results, categorizing risk, and coordinating the remediation of findings
  • Understanding of secure software development lifecycle best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze various complex issues, projects, technologies, and solutions
  • Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
